Heldiney is a designer, Director of a branch of a hundred people at the mental health charity, Samaritans and mentor to design graduates.
He is on a mission to create opportunities for people of colour to feel supported and succeed in the design industry, reduce the number of people dying by suicide and bring design closer to education.
Currently he is a Lead Product Designer at Monzo Bank, helping design the core experience of all of Monzo’s 8 million UK customers and growing. Envisioning a future in which we design products that work well for all of society, not just a select, fortunate few.

Building Monzo's payments, what I learned about the role of design
Monzo has both its own payment network for instant payments and is part of the payment network all UK banks use. Creating a payment experience that protects people, gets out of their way when they need and brings excitement where appropriate is a difficult but worthy adventure. Especially for a regulated bank with 9 million customers in the UK (and rapidly growing).
