Angela Pesta is a UX leader and practitioner of more than 15 years. Currently, she’s working as the Director of UX at eDreams ODIGEO, the largest independent European online travel agency. Previously, she was at Tesco in London, establishing best practices and leading the delivery of experiences for products including, Clubcard, Tesco.com, and Hudl.
Prior to that, she spent 7 years at Amazon in Seattle, heading up the UX for the Amazon Kindle store where she led experiences across the web, Kindle e-ink readers, Kindle tablet, and other mobile devices.
Before Amazon, Angela worked as a UXer in the Silicon Valley at financial and tech companies. She has a master’s degree in design from the School of Design at San Francisco State University.

The craze of design thinking is turning the designer's profession into a commodity—but that's okay.
Let this be the impetus that motivates us to evolve our profession.
In this talk we'll be investigating what it means to 'design for good' and how this can be addressed with the practices of 'design thinking' and more.
We'll investigate questions such as: What do we need to do to stay ahead of and evolve the function of design? Do we have a moral responsibility as designers to do good? Finally, as creative problem solvers, how can we increase our scale as change agents for the world's biggest problems?
